Multiple Backgrounds on Ubuntu 9.04

Here is how to set a different background on each workspace on Ubuntu 9.04.

1. Go to System>Preferences>CompizConfig Settings Manager

2. Scroll down to the Utility section, select "Wallpaper" and click on it for settings

3. Click "New" and browse to the wallpaper you want to add. Repeat for each extra wallpaper.

4. Bring up the Run application by hitting Alt + F2

5. Type in "gconf-editor" and click on Run


6. Browse to apps>nautilus>preferences, scroll down to "show_desktop" and uncheck it

Enjoy your new distinguishable workspaces!
