H.R. 4439, the Tobacco Tax Parity Act of 2010 was introduced on January 13, 2010 and would raise the tax on pipe tobacco 775% from $2.8311 to $24.78 per pound. The idea is to punish cigarette tobacco that is being sold as pipe tobacco. However this bill will cripple pipe craftsmen, tobacco farmers and retailers as well as punish those who enjoy this respectable and relaxing hobby. Please sign the petition linked below to encourage your representative to vote "NO" on the bill.

Dear Postman
Dear Postman,
I have noticed that you have mis-delivered our mail on several occasions now. The other day, we finally received an important document we were waiting on. By the words of direction written on the envelope for you by a resident of the apartments across the street, I gathered that we would have received it sooner had you realized that our street address ends in an even number and their's in an odd. I learned as a youngster that an odd address represents one side of the road and an even address represents the other. I am sure that this is basic knowledge to you.
Today my Netflix was waiting for me behind my storm door. Another resident must have been kind enough to deliver it to me personally. Whether the kind gesture was to you, to save you the painstaking labor of carrying it to the correct box, or to me, to avoid another needless misdelivery, I'm not sure. I am thankful, though, that I live in a trustworthy neighborhood, otherwise the DVD could have been stolen.
Listen, I know that you have a government paid position. I know that no matter how lazy you are and no matter how much you screw up, you won't get fired. All I can do is ask you to please match the number on the mail to the number on the box. Take pride in your work. Please, put my tax dollars to good use.
Cordially,
Bentok
