Bioshock 2 Achievement Race

The official Aeonian Samurai Bioshock 2 Achievement Race has reached its thrilling conclusion.

The race kicked off with Ab3rn4sty taking a quick initial lead, grabbing nearly all but 4 of the multiplayer achievements on the first day of release. His lead was short lived, however as DropTheH4MM3R and B3NT0K steadily progressed and overtook him. DropTheH4MM3R, not satisfied with keeping pace with B3NT0K, with an explosive burst of energy sprinted for a plethora of campaign achievements, leaving both B3NT0K and Ab3rn4sty in the dust. His passion and enthusiasm is laudible, as he was the first to complete the single player story. He did so by pushing his body to the limits, relentlessly crushing enemy splicers that stood in his way of rescuing Eleanor, even though it took until almost 3:00am.

However, what DropTheH4MM3R did not expect was the ace up B3NT0K's sleeve. As he emerged from the dust lingering from DropTheH4MM3R's mutant-jack-rabbit-like sprint, B3NT0K knew that the energy used for said sprint was futile. For B3NT0K required only a single play through the campaign, while DropTheH4MM3R required two. Though his load was considerably heavier, B3NT0K trudged through the gauntlet of every single campaign achievement while playing on the hardest difficulty, while DropTheH4MM3R would have to play the campaign one full time extra since his mad dash was done on medium difficulty.

Thus, B3NT0K finished all of the single player achievements in one swing, taking the lead while DropTheH4MM3R was only half way through his second campaign. B3NT0K was sure that he had taken the title of champion from the victor of the last race, but was his choice in rival ill placed? Was DropTheH4MM3R his biggest threat?

Meanwhile, knowing that B3NT0K was finished with single player, DropTheH4MM3R redoubled his efforts to complete the game on hard difficulty, but was it too late? All eyes were on Ab3rn4sty...

It wasn't long before the the two rivals realized just how shortsighted they had been and just how far ahead Ab3rn4sty was in the race. Although he had been trailing for most of the race in sheer points earned, he had already invested a considerable amount of time in multiplayer killing noobs, which gave him an immeasurable head start on the crowning achievement: to reach level 40. Having been focusing on multiplayer for most of the race thus far, Ab3rn4sty decided to beat the game on hard once he noticed they had already beat it.

The other two contestants knew that he still had to beat the game on hard and schemed, hoping that during the time he would have to spend doing single player, they would be able to overcome his progress on multiplayer. Their expectations were disintegrated, though, when Ab3n4sty, with the strength and dexterity of a Big Sister (not an insult) single-handedly defeated the single player campaign on the hardest difficulty in a single morning. The pure brute force of this act effectively dismantled his competitions morale. They now saw that they had grossly underestimated the people's champion, the man called Ab3rn4sty.

From that point, he simply coasted to the finish line. His competition tried all they could to catch up, but in the end, they could only watch as he bulldozed through rank 37, 38, 39 and finally rank 40 to get the final achievement for Bioshock 2. And thus, Ab3rn4sty is the winner of the Aeonian Samurai Bioshock 2 achievement race. Congradulations Ab3rn4sty!

I really wish I could have taken a part of this. I hate having no income.
