Acer customer support

A few months ago, I was given an Acer Aspire One as a gift from my mom. It's a pretty descent netbook for the amount she paid for it, there was only one problem- the internet card turns off and back on every ten minutes or so.

After dealing with this for a few months I decided to do something about it. I called their customer support and the Indian gentleman I spoke to told me he couldn't do anything about it, so he sent me to their official support team called Answers by Acer.

The reason I didn't call the Acer support team to begin with is because I noticed that it costs $129.99 to speak with them about my computer problems.

The first thing I told him was I had no money, I was just trying to see if they would do something about my internet card. The guy kept trying to sell me time to talk to their support team. I tried very hard not to be rude or mean, because I know it was only his job. If you are the type of person that relies on customer service to fix your problems, do not buy anything Acer.

That is crazy. I personally really like my Dell netbook and Amy likes her HP netbook. I would recommend one of them if you ever need to buy a new one. I hear Asus is good too.

This netbook isn't bad. In fact this problem disappeared after I installed Ubunu 10.10 netbook edition. I'm not sure why.
