It's Official: Everyone Has One Now

I finally bought an HDTV. I would have waited until closer to Christmas, but Walmart had a huge sale this weekend. It's a Sharp 42" 1080p, 6 ms response time. The reviews online at Amazon and Walmart.com were good enough to encourage me to get one, but I bought the service plan just in case it's a low quality 1080p. It's a lesson in economics, actually.

Normally when price goes down, demand goes up. However, there are some times when a price causes demand to go down. When price is too low, it makes you cautious and question the quality of the product. You wouldn't buy a brand new car for $5000 and expect it to last. Price is a reflection of quality, too.

I felt the same way about this tv. The price is a steal, especially for a 1080p, so it made me cautious, but I'm feeling great about this purchase. I should also note that on sale was a laptop very similar to mine for only $288, and there was no tax because of the tax-free sale going on. I did pay tax on the tv though.

As someone who loves technology, I'm looking forward to playing Xbox in 1080p, and stream HD netflix!

Congratulations. You'll probably replay each game you own at least once just to see the difference. That is what I did when I got mine.
