Picasa 3.0 on Linux

Picasa allows you to easily upload pictures to a Google Photos web album. You simply scroll through you photos on you hard drive, flag the ones you want to upload and WHAM you have a photo album on Google to share with friends and family. I love it.

I downloaded the Picasa 3.0 beta for linux and it works great. The interface is just as nice and the program runs smoothly. If you'd like to give it a try, follow this link for instructions on adding it to your repository.

I downloaded Picasa recently and I'm quite impressed. I haven't discovered all the neat tricks to it yet, but there are a few things I instantly loved.

First, you can email a picture from within Picasa itself. Second, when it searches your hard drive for pictures, it picks up movies as well. You can upload to YouTube from within Picasa! I love when programs are streamlined like this. Third, facial recognition!
