N.C. Law to Ban Plastic Bottles in Landfills
Don't ever listen to someone who says that a population's morals don't affect law-making. Going green is the moral thing to do these days. To quote the environmental supervisor for the North Carolina Department of the Environment and Natural Resources: “Everyone wants to do the right thing, and the right thing is to recycle.”

What does this mean exactly? Does it mean I get in trouble for throwing plastic in the trash, or does it mean that GDS gets in trouble for not separating my plastic trash?
Tough question. Technically trash is public property when you place it in a garbage bin. But the bin belongs to GDS, and they are the ones who have the responsibility to get the refuse to the proper place.
